Update/Official Press Release:
The Baytown Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on July 15, 2024, at approximately 9:30 PM, at a residence located in the 100 block of Ward Rd. The victim, a 54-year-old male, stated that he and his dog were shot at outside his ex-girlfriend’s home. The man was transported to the hospital for treatment of his gunshot injury and has since been released. The dog is in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male in his mid-20s to mid-30s, approximately 5’9″-5’10” tall. This case is under investigation, and additional information will be provided as soon as it is available for release.
