Official Baytown Police Press Release (04.05.24): On Monday, April 1, 2024, around 11 am, officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Garth Rd. regarding a deceased person. Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive 62-year-old male of Baytown. Baytown detectives arrived and interviewed witnesses. The Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the body. Story 1: Shortly before 11 am today, Monday, April 1st, Baytown Police EMS and Fire and Rescue responded to a call at the Wood Creek Center on Garth Road. There the body of a male was found behind the vacant Church’s Chicken building. The area is a known location for the homeless. In this video, two eyewitnesses make statements.
