Story 3: Late Friday night, February 23rd, Baytown police assisted other law enforcement agencies in the rescue of a potential jumper. Law enforcement successfully negotiated with the male and was able to prevent his jumping from the Fred Hartman Bridge.
Story 4: On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, around 2:45 pm, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at an apartment complex on Decker Drive. 38-year-old Kriston Sims of Baytown was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend. EMS tended to the victim. Charges of Assault F/V – Impeding Breath and Assault – Pregnant Person were accepted by the Harris County ADA. Kriston was taken into custody without incident and transported to Baytown jail.
