Story 4: On, Saturday, July 1st, a grass fire in Chambers County soon evolved into a forest fire. Mutual aid was provided by multiple surrounding fire departments including Baytown as well as other volunteers. The fire lasted for many hours from daylight over into the night before it was extinguished.
