2022-49647 – Motor Vehicle Accident
Unit #1 – 2021 Black GMC Sierra – Driver, 28-year-old male.
Unit #2 – 2010 Silver Nissan Altima – Driver, 31-year-old female.
Unit #1 and Unit #2 were both traveling westbound in the 6800 Block of I-10 Freeway. Unit #2 was in the outside lane with hazard lights on traveling well below the speed limit. A witness advised he believed Unit #2 was either completely stopped in the lane of travel or traveling at approximately 5 MPH. Unit #1 was traveling in the same lane and appeared to not notice Unit #2, colliding into the rear of Unit #2. The driver of Unit #2 suffered possible major injuries and was life flighted to Memorial Hermann-Downtown. Unit #1 reported no injuries at this time.
One female airlifted to a Houston hospital early Saturday morning. The accident involved two vehicles. According to information gathered at the scene, the driver of the pickup shown is this video was not injured. The accident occurred on I-10 East near Sjolander.
