Story 2:
Early Sunday morning July 10th at 12:38 a.m., Mont Belvieu PD received several calls about a large disturbance at a residence located in the 3200 block of Sable Palm in The Colony subdivision. Callers reported hearing several gunshots fired as the disturbance escalated.
Officers quickly arrived and interviewed several individuals at that location, obtaining information about a vehicle that had just fled the scene with a possible suspect and assault victim inside. Officers recovered several shell casings from the scene and also recovered a handgun that had been thrown in a nearby ditch.
Another responding MBPD officer located the alleged suspect vehicle nearby on Eagle Drive. Upon getting that vehicle stopped and the occupants detained, it was determined that the female passenger was bleeding from a large laceration to her head from being struck by a bottle thrown at her by an unknown suspect during the disturbance. Follow-up investigation at the Sable Palm scene determined that no one had been struck by gunfire and the only injury was the female ho had been injured by the bottle.
