Assisting with serving the warrantwere Baytown Police Department SWAT, members of the Baytown Police Department Crisis Negotiation Team, and Baytown Police Department K-9. This investigation,which has spanned several months and is still ongoing, is intended to target those who are bringing illegal narcotics and violence into our neighborhoods, putting the lives ofour very own citizens at danger. This specific search warrant resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of quantities of illegal cocaine, marijuana, THC edibles, oils, and vapes, and prescription medication. Additionally, a stolen handgun was recovered from inside the residence. This specific location has been the subject of open-air drugsales and gun violence; it is important to note it is located within 600 feet of Robert E. Lee High School property and 1800 feet from Lee College. Arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1 (Cocaine), with Intent to Deliver are Baytown residents, 33-year-old Quentin Odale Taylor and 40-year-old Lawrence Jeremy Gipson.
