On May 24, 2022 at approximately 3:20 p.m., Baytown Police and Baytown Fire were called to a major crash in the 2700 block of Spur 330 North bound. Officers arrived to find that a 2016 Dodge Ram 250 struck a 2005 Isuzu Box truck while traveling in the center lane. After the crash, the Dodge truck was disabled in the roadway and the Isuzu Box truck was off the road in the grassy median. The collision resulted in the box truck to overturn, spilling the contents of bottled water on to the roadway. The driver of the box tuck, a 61-year-old male, was fatally injured in the crash. The driver of the Dodge truck, a 43-year-old female was not injured in the crash and later released at the scene. This case is still under investigation by crash reconstructionist with the Baytown Police Departments’ Traffic Management Team.
This major accident occurred today, Tuesday, on Spur 330 near Rollingbrook Drive. The male driver of the vehicle shown in the video was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred around 6 pm. Check back for the official Baytown Police press release.
