01.31.21 Major Accident/N. Main at Rollingbrook/Sunday Morning (UPDATE: PRess Release Added)

Official BPD Press Release:
24 year old Baytown man Damian Ramirez was alleged to have taken his father in law’s black, 2017 Dodge Charger without permission prior to getting into a single vehicle accident leaving him in critical condition.  Prior to the crash, Ramirez was alleged to have been drinking alcohol at a gathering with family in the 2800 block of Massey Tompkins.  His wife attempted to get him into the passenger seat of her father’s 2017 Dodge Charger so she could drive him home.  Ramirez began punching his wife and took control of the vehicle, pushing her out of the moving car.  She sustained abrasions to her arm and described the punches as painful.  Ramirez faces charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Felony Continuous Assault Family Violence due to a history of familial violence.

A major accident occurred at the intersection of N. Main and Rollingbrook around 2:30 am Sunday morning. The male driver hit the traffic light pole in the intersection. He was airlifted to a Houston hospital. Check back for the official Baytown Police press release.
