2020-35218 – On July 20th at 7:00a.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2500 block of Highway 146, near the Hartman Bridge. The driver of the vehicle, who was having difficulty staying in her lane, ignored the marked patrol car with its emergency lights and siren on and refused to come to a stop. The vehicle continued on 146, striking the outer guardrail at least once and nearly causing several other collisions before it eventually came to a stop at Highway 99 and FM 1405. As officers made contact with the driver, identified as 26 year old Alejandra Meza of Houston, it was readily apparent to the officers that she was extremely intoxicated.
