Story 1: This accident occurred around 11 pm Sunday night. The two-vehicle collision resulted in one vehicle igniting in flames. The driver of that vehicle was extricated from the wreckage and airlifted to a Houston hospital.
Story 2: Official Press Release from Baytown PD — 2020-29857 – On June 15th at 12:15 a.m., officers responded to a report of major accident in the 1900 block of Interstate 10, near Thompson Road. Upon arrival officers found a tanker truck had overturned and caught fire with the driver trapped inside. Fire personnel were able to successfully extract the female driver, who was subsequently flown to Hermann Hospital for precautionary measures. Due to this crash all lanes of Interstate 10 were closed until approximately 9:00 a.m. this morning. The freeway is now back open and Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the cause of the accident.
The 62-year-old female driver of a 18-wheeler lost control and the vehicle flipped. The incident occurred on I-10 near Ellis School Road. The driver was airlifted to a Houston hospital. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday night.
