Official Baytown Police Press Release:
2019-59059 – On October 8th at 7:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Wright in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival officers found a 20 year old Baytown man who had apparently been shot multiple times. The victim was flown to Herman Hospital where he underwent surgery and is expected to survive. During the course of our investigation Detectives learned that there may have been a verbal altercation between the victim and suspect(s) just prior to the victim being shot. The suspect(s) are then believed to have fled the area in a passenger car, which detectives are working to determine the make, model and color of. Baytown police, EMS and Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of a drive by shooting shortly after 7 pm tonight, Tuesday, October 8th. The victim, a Hispanic male, who was in a home on North Fourth Street, sustained two gunshot wounds (one in the chest and one in the lower abdomen. He was airlifted to a Houston hospital.
