Yes we are working a shooting from Saturday where a 16 year old was brought, by private vehicle, to Houston Methodist Baytown ER suffering from a gunshot wound. The 16 year old was subsequently transferred to Herman Hospital where he would undergo surgery for his injury, and is expected to survive. Based on our initial investigation, we are not certain of exactly where the incident occurred due to the fact that we were unable to find a scene where the shooting reportedly occurred, Pelly Park, and witnesses in the area at the time did not report hearing or seeing anything of that nature. Evidence also suggest it may have been an accidental. We are still investigating the incident and obviously we will be trying to talk to the 16 year old again once he is able to talk better so we can hopefully get a clearer picture of exactly what happened and where, but at this point we do not have anything that indicates he was targeted.
