2019-29655 – On May 21st at 5:45 a.m., officers responded
to a report of shooting in the 1000 block of Sunset.
Upon arrival officers contacted the complainant who advised
he was putting his lunch kit in his vehicle to head to work
when a black passenger car, possibly a Chrysler 200,
pulled up. A black male exited the passenger side of the vehicle

the complainant’s wallet. When the complainant did not comply
right away the suspect struck him in the head with the weapon,
knocking the complainant to the ground. The suspect then
returned to the suspect vehicle and got back into the passenger seat,
at which time the suspect fired one round in the direction
of the complainant, striking him in the leg before the fleeing the area.
The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5’7, 210-220 pounds,
clean shaven and wearing a solid black T-shirt. The complainant
was transported to Clear Lake Regional Hospital by EMS
to be treated for his injuries. Detectives are investigating.
