02.24.19 Two Stories: Gunshot Victim and Police Pursuit February 25, 2019 Baytown Cops BaytownCops.com Videos, Featured Articles, Slider 0 On Friday, February 22nd at 11:10 p.m., Baytown Police responded to the 1600 block of Garth Road in reference to a shots fired call. A search of the area yielded negative results. Approximately 45 minutes later, a male arrived at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital with a gunshot wound to his foot and calf areas. Officers arrived at the hospital and the victim was uncooperative. He initially told officers that he was shot at the Power Fuel gas station on Garth and Park. Officers were dispatched to that location but could not find anything to substantiate the victim’s story. A check of the victim’s residence revealed one drop of blood near the back door of the victims apartment. Det. Watkins Story 2: Around 12 noon Saturday, February 23, Baytown police were engaged in a car pursuit. The two subjects in the vehicle being pursued (a male and a female) eventually pulled into McDonald’s on Garth and bailed from the car. Police searched for drugs that were discarded by one of the subjects while in flight. The female was quickly apprehended. The male managed to evade apprehension. r�
