At 2:42 am the Baytown Communications Center received a call for a residential structure located at 3120 Decker Drive APT 2502
At 2:45 fire department units were dispatched; the first unit arrived at 2:50 am.
The fire was under control with loss stopped at approximately 4:00 am. The last unit left the scene at 5:20 am.
The units that responded to the scene were: Engines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 7; Battalion 1, Tower 7, along with the EMS Supervisor and Medic 2; 31 emergency response personnel
There were 6 apartment units damaged; 2 from fire and additional four from smoke/water damage. Within the 6 units there were a total of 8 families affected. Apartment management placed some families in empty units while others went to stay with family.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
