Around 9:00 pm Thursdaynight, January 24th, a hot pursuit began on North Alexander Drive in Baytown and continued in the area of 1405 and Highway 99 when a motorist fled from police after a traffic stop. The fleeing motorist, who at one point headed north in the southbound lane, was eventually stopped on Kilgore after police deployed spike strips. Baytown police was assisted by Chambers County Sheriff’ deputies in the pursuit. The fleeing motorist was taken into custody by Baytown police.
