CORRECTION: Ralpheal and not Relpheal

On Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 10:31 p.m., a Baytown officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on James Bowie Drive at Cedar Bayou Road. The driver, later identified as Ralpheal White, drove into a parking lot in the 2100 Block of Cedar Bayou. White exited the vehicle and ran to evade the officer. A perimeter was set up and the subject was later located in the 3000 Block of North Alexander. White ran toward the officer while concealing his hands in his waist. The officer utilized his taser in an attempt to take White into custody. The taser was not effective. White continued evading and ran into a shed at a residence in the 3000 block of North Alexander. A Baytown PD K9 responded and assisted by searching for White inside the shed. The K9 bit White on his upper right arm. After being bit White was arrested, treated at the scene by Baytown EMS then transported to the Baytown jail. White was charged with evading on foot and injury to a public service animal due to White punching the K9. Mug shot attached.
