2018-69863 – On December 5th at 7:37 p.m. officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of Inwood while at the same time officers were being advised that two subjects had arrived at the hospital by private conveyance who were suffering from gunshot wounds. During the ensuing investigation Detectives learned that several subjects had met at a vacant residence in the 400 block of Inwood, possibly to conduct some type of drug transaction and during that transaction two of the male subjects in the residence, a 16 year old and an 18 year old, pulled guns on each other and exchanged gunfire resulting in both subjects being struck at least one time in the torso. The 16 year old was ultimately flown to Herman Hospital to be treated for his injuries and is expected to survive, the 18 year old was treated at Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital for his non-life threatening injuries. Detectives are still investigating.

Update/Det. Watkins/BPD: The only information I can provide regarding the shooting is two males were shot. One is a minor and the other is an adult. They have not been interviewed at this time due to hospitalization for one and the lack of cooperation from the other.
