10.30.18 Official BPD Press Release on Stabbing at Dirty D Tavern

2018-62468 – On October 28^th at 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing at the Dirty D’s Tavern in the 2700 block of North Alexander. Upon arrival officers made contact with the complainant who appeared to have at least two puncture wounds to his abdomen area. During the investigation officers learned the complainant had been in a fight with another patron of the bar, identified as 59 year old Delfino Mata of Baytown. During that altercation Mata allegedly stabbed the complainant in the abdomen several times. Also during the incident one of Mata’s friends, 44 year old Carlos Resendez of Baytown, broke a window out of vehicle in the parking lot, before both subjects left the bar. Officers later located the two at a residence on Savell Street where both men were taken into custody and transported to the Baytown Jail. Mata was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Resendez was charged with Criminal Mischief.
