2018-55440 – On Monday morning, September 24th at 3:12 a.m.,
officers responded to a residence in the 200 block
of West Lobit in reference to a person with a weapon.
Upon arrival officers contacted 35 year old Edgar Rueda,
who claimed to live at the residence and also told officers
there was a weapon inside the house. As officers were
clearing the residence they located a 9mm handgun
which was determined to be stolen out of Dayton Police Department.
Officers conducted a computer check of Rueda and found
he had an outstanding warrant out of Harris County
for Expired Registration. Rueda was subsequently placed under arrest
for the warrant and transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked.

Then late Monday night, around 11:40 pm, Baytown police and Chambers County Sheriff deputies responded to the scene of a hit and run accident which turned into a multiple vehicle accident on I-10 West. One vehicle ran off the road into the Chevron refinery yard. At least two victims sustained minor injuries and were transported to the local hospital. This report is based on information gathered at the scene.
