2018-54076 – On September 17th at 1:25 a.m., officers were flagged down by two females in the 3300 block of Wisconsin. Upon contacting the females officers were advised of a disturbance at a residence located at 3310 Wisconsin Street. As officers were gathering information from the females they heard gunshots coming from this residence. Once additional officers arrived they approached the residence, which was a garage apartment, and upon doing so they noticed blood drops on the ground and heard someone screaming inside. Officers made entry into the residence and contacted a male and a female inside. The female had blood coming from a minor injury to her head and the male was unharmed, neither appeared to have suffered any injuries form the gunshots. During the investigation officers did recover a handgun and observed bullet holes in the ceiling, however neither party claimed any knowledge of a weapon being fired. The male, now identified as 40 year old Fidencio Barbosa was ultimately placed under arrest and charged with assault family violence. The female, identified as 41 year old April Valdez was also placed under arrest after she initially lied about her identity due to an outstanding Family Violence warrant out of Harris County. Both were transported to the Baytown Jail and booked, Barbosa for Assault Family Violence and Valdez for her outstanding warrant and an additional charge of Failure to Identify while a Fugitive.
