07.16.18 Party Goers Arrested/Major Accident/Police Chase

2018-41700 – On July 15th at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a second report of a loud party at a residence in the 1300 block of East Fayle. During the first call, which had occurred approximately 30 minutes earlier, officers arrived to a large party with several intoxicated subjects outside along with numerous alcoholic beverages in view on the tables. One of those subjects at the residence, 36 year old Francisco Aguirre, became aggressive and belligerent with the officers, at one point even having to be restrained by other party goers. Despite this, officers were able to speak with one of the homeowners on that initial call and advise them of the complaints to which the homeowner agreed to quiet things down. During the second call, due to the antagonistic atmosphere and the large crowd present during the first call, several officers responded on this second call. Upon arrival and as officers attempted to speak with the same homeowner from the first call, two of the party goers, 19 year old Eric Aguirre and Francisco Aguirre became aggressive, belligerent and defiant with officers which in turn riled up many of the other party goers. At one point officers attempted to place Eric under arrest for his aggressive, antagonistic and belligerent behavior, however Eric refused to comply which resulted in officers having to take him to the ground, which in turn resulted in Eric suffering abrasions to his face and a lump on his forehead. As officers were trying to arrest Eric, a female identified as Anali Betencourt, attempted to interfere with the officers by grabbing one of the officer’s arms, therefore she too was taken into custody.  At the same time, Francisco Aguirre charged at officers who were dealing with Eric and had too had to be forced to the ground to be taken into custody. During all of this, officers continually tried to get the other party goers to go inside, however many of those party goers became increasingly defiant and uncooperative, one of those being 32 year old Abraham Medellin, who also appeared intoxicated and was subsequently placed under arrest as well. Some of the party goers then slowly began to go inside or otherwise disperse and officers ultimately transported all four subjects to the Baytown Jail where they were booked on the following charges.

Eric Aguirre – Interfering with Public Duties

Francisco Aguirre – Interfering with Public Duties

Abraham Medellin – Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct

Anali Betencourt – Public Intoxication
