07.09.18 Four News Stories in Baytown (See Written Correction for Story 4 Below))

2018-39622 – On Wednesday, July 4th at 11:27 p.m., officers responded to Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital in reference to a shooting which occurred in the 2300 block of Decker Drive.  Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the 18 year-old victim who stated a guy, who he knows by sight, accidentally shot him in the arm while playing with a gun.  [this case is under investigation].

At 8:51 am Monday, July 9, an accident occurred at I-10 east and Thompson Road.  The driver of this vehicle stated he didn’t see the truck parked on the feeder.  .  Neither driver was injured.  This report is based on info gathered at the scene.

 

On Monday evening, the driver of this SUV was cited for running the red light at Alexander and E. Defeee and hitting this black pickup.  Two people in the SUV received minor injuries.  The driver of the SUV was also cited for driving with a suspended licens.

Correction Concerning Story 4 — the accident occurred on the Old and Lost River Bridge in Chambers County

Late Monday evening this Semi carrying new cars caught on  fire destroying at least 6 of the cars. This occurred on the San Jacinto River Bridge, I-10 west. The driver stated t he noticed smoke coming from the trailer. He stopped and disconnected his cab and called for help. The driver did not sustain injury.   West bound lane closed for several hours.
