2018-33510 – On June 7th at 3:19 a.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at the CVS located in the 1500 block of North Alexander. Upon arrival officers found that the front door glass shattered out and upon checking the building they found that the pharmacy area, which is secured by a metal retractable door, had been compromised. Officers were able to review the surveillance footage of the business and learned the suspect had thrown a rock through the front door, shattering the glass, the suspect then made his way directly to the pharmacy area and was able to defeat the metal retractable doors and gain access to the pharmacy area. The suspect was in the pharmacy area for a short time before fleeing the store carrying what appeared to be a red nylon bag. The suspect was wearing a grey beanie, with a white shirt covering his face and wearing dark pants and light colored shoes. It was unknown at the time of the report what all was taken during the burglary. Detectives are investigating.
(We are working with the pharmacy to get a copy of the surveillance video that we may be able to share)
