On June 3rd at 2:05 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the1700 block of Utah in reference to a possible stabbing. Upon arrival officers contacted the complainant who advised she was at home when a female, identified as 27 year Vera Crawley of Baytown, arrived at her residence for an unknown reason. The two women apparently have ill feelings towards each other and a verbal altercation ensued which quickly turned physical. This resulted in Ms. Crawley pulling a knife and stabbing the complainant on the shoulder then cutting her on the arm before fleeing the scene. The complainant was transported to Hermann Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Officers contacted the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and briefed them on the facts of the case at which time charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon were accepted and subsequently filed on Ms. Crawley. Ms. Crawley was subsequently arrested the following day and is currently in custody. Mug shot attached
