2018-21272 – On April 11th at 2:20 a.m., officers patrolling the area of the 400 block of East Lobit when they observed a male duck down in the back seat of a parked vehicle. As officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, he opened the back door of the vehicle and fled on foot. Multiple officers responded to the area and were ultimately able to locate the suspect, after a brief foot chase, and apprehend him in the back yard of a residence in the 200 block of East Lobit. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle the suspect was seen in at which time it was learned that the suspect had actually burglarized the vehicle and had stolen a small amount of currency out of the center console, which was subsequently found on the suspect. The suspect, identified as 29 year old Adrian Lopez of Baytown, was transported to the Baytown Jail where officers contacted the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and charges of Burglary of a Motor Vehicle were accepted on Mr. Lopez, thus he was booked on those charges.
