03.25.18 Two Stories: Chambers County and Baytown (Two Corrections) BPD Press Release Added

CORRECTION ON STORY TWO: THE STABBING OCCURRED AT BAY HARBOUR APARTMENT NOT THE PLACE APARTMENT

2018-17676 – On March 25th at 3:28 a.m., officers responded to a stabbing call at the Bay Harbour Apartments in the 2500 block of East James. Upon arrival officers found the victim inside an apartment suffering from multiple lacerations to his arms, hands and legs. During the investigation officers learned that two brothers had been in a verbal altercation that turned physical. At one point one of the two men, 28 year old Anthony Butts of Baytown, produced a knife and stabbed his 32 year old brother multiple times, causing several deep lacerations. Anthony fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival however he was located a short time later hiding behind a dumpster and placed under arrest and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The victim was transported by ambulance to Bayshore Medical Center for treatment for his non-life threatening injuries. Mug shot attached.

Audio Correction: 3180 not 1380) In our first story, a mother and child escaped serious injuries when their vehicle rolled over during a two vehicle collision. The accident occurred Friday night, March 23, at the intersection of 3180 and 365 in Chambers County.
