Officers were advised that there was a white F250 that had backed into the front of the store in what appeared to be an attempt to burglarize the store, this is commonly referred to a as a smash and grab. After several unsuccessful attempts to make entry into the store the suspects, approximately 9-10 in total, gave up and fled the area on foot. It is believed they were picked up by another vehicle in the area. It is unknown at this time if anything was taken during the incident. It was later determined that the vehicle used was stolen from an apartment complex in the 3400 block of Garth prior to the attempted burglary. Detectives are investigating.
