Baytown Police Seeking Public’s Help in Solving Department Store Robbery
On February 13th at 9:55 p.m., Baytown Police responded to the Kohl’s Department store
in the 6500 block of Garth Road in reference to a Robbery.
Upon arrival officers made contact with the complainant, a store employee, who advised
officers a Hispanic male had entered the store and made his way to the customer service
area where he jumped the counter and forced an employee into the manager’s office.
Once inside the office the suspect forced the employee to open the safe and give him all
the money.
Although no weapon was seen, the complainant believed the suspect did have one as he
threatened to harm her if she did not comply with his demands. The complainant
complied with the suspect’s demands and the suspect ultimately fled the store out the rear
emergency exit and is believed to have gotten into the passenger side of a small red
passenger car.
The suspect has been described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’8-5’9 tall, medium
build, light skin and green eyes and a dark colored mole or freckle near the bridge of his
nose. The suspect was wearing prescription eye glasses at the time as well as tan fishing
hat, dark green hoodie bearing an Old Navy logo, black pants and athletic style running
