2018-6545 – On February 1st at 9:51 pm, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Pin Oak in reference to a Stabbing call. Upon arrival officers contacted the complainant, outside the residence, who advised he had been stabbed in the back by his 24 year old step son, Stanton Magourik. The complainant advised that Stanton had gone back in the house and locked the door. The complainantadvised that Stanton had just returned from his father’s house a few blocks away and was apparently upset about pending legal issues he was having. The complainant did not know what prompted Stanton to stab him other than their strained relationship in the past. Officers used the PA system in the patrol vehicles to call for Stanton to exit the residence to no avail. This prompted the activation of the Baytown SWAT Team to safely deal with the now barricaded suspect. After several hours of attempting to make contact with Stanton it was learned through Hostage Negotiators that he had departed the residence and made his way back to his father’s house, where he was apprehended without further incident. Stanton was transported to the Baytown Jail where he was booked and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Family Violence. The complainant was transported to a Houston area hospital to be treated for his non-life threatening injuries.
