2018- 2620 – On January 14th at 1:56 a.m., officers responded to a major accident in the 4700 block of Spur 330. Reports were that a Nissan Armada SUV had rolled several times as it was traveling south on Spur 330. Upon arrival officers found the Armada laying on its side and EMS treating a 36 year old Baytown man, who was determined to be the driver of the Armada. During the initial investigation officers learned that the Armada was traveling south on Spur 330, at what witnesses described as a high rate of speed, when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle, according to witnesses, jerked suddenly to the right, striking the concrete barricade before flipping several times, ultimately ejecting the driver, who was subsequently flown to a Houston Memorial Herman Hospital to be treated for his injuries. The condition of the driver is unknown at this time nor is it clear whether or not alcohol had any role in the accident. Baytown Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the exact cause of the accident.
