Well, you’re looking at a miracle. This is Keith Easton who many of you have seen riding his three wheel trike around Baytown. The last time he was in the news, his bike had been stolen and was replaced by a Good Samaritan. Today while riding his bike, Keith was hit by a vehicle that left him lying in the road on Rollingbrook as the vehicle fled the scene. Keith was taken by ambulance to San Jacinto Hospital, which is where I picked him up after his release. He sustained scarring on his left leg and will be ok. His bike however was totaled. But there is some good news, a Good Samaritan has already stepped up to the plate and will purchase a brand new bike for Keith. Keith happens to be a close family friend and wanted me to extend a special thanks to Officer Anderson with BPD as well as the three witnesses who reported what they saw to PD. He also wants to thank the other Good Samaritan who gave him $40 just before the ambulance transported him to the hospital.
