This morning at approximately 9:12 a.m., Baytown Medic 4 was involved in an accident at North Main and Defee. At last report the two medics who were operating the ambulance are ok. There were two EMS students in the ambulance as well, they are being flown to a Houston area hospital to be treated for their injuries. No details as to the nature and/or severity of their injuries at this time. The 4 individuals in the vehicle that struck the ambulance are being taken by ground to area hospitals for evaluation. Baytown Police Accident Reconstruction Team is on scene and will be conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident.
