2017-37410 – On June 26th at 1:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Red Zone Bar, located in the 500 block of West Main, in reference to a person with a weapon and shots being fired. While officers were enroute they also received word that a subject had been brought to the San Jacinto Hospital emergency room suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. During the course of the investigation it was learned that there had been some type of altercation between the victim and two other males outside the bar. During that altercation witnesses heard several gunshots after which the victim was bleeding from the face and transported to San Jacinto hospital by his friends and ultimately flown to Herman Hospital. Once the victim arrived at Herman Hospital it was revealed that he was not struck by any bullets, however he did have an injury to the face that turned out to possibly be from a piece of glass and were not life threatening. The victim refused to cooperate with detectives as they tried to speak with him at the hospital. Therefore the have been no charges filed in this case.
