UPDATE 4-7-17
As you all know we have been investigating the murder of
Assistant Chief Deputy Greenwood which occurred Monday,
April 3rd at approximately 7:00 a.m. Investigators from numerous
agencies have come together to assist in the investigation and
have been working nonstop on this case since Monday morning.
Through video surveillance we have identified what is believed to
be the suspect vehicle and with a high degree of confidence,
believe that vehicle to be a black, 2013-2017 Nissan Versa Note.
We are asking business owners and residents in a wide swatch of
southeast Harris County for their assistance in the ongoing effort
to catch whoever murdered Assistant Chief Greenwood.
Your security cameras may have captured video of the suspect
and the car driven in the days and hours before and after the
murder. We are asking for you to retain that footage. Don’t let
it be deleted, erased or automatically over-ridden by your
surveillance system.
If you believe you have captured something helpful, please send
us your contact information. You can do this by sending your
name, phone number and most importantly, your address to
video@baytown.org so that we may contact you in the event we
need to. Please do not send any video, but do let us know how to
contact you. We are looking at the following time frame:
Starting: Thursday, March 30th at 6 a.m.
Ending: Tuesday, April 4
th at 5 p.m.

The Baytown Police Department asks anyone who may recognize the vehicle or the
person in the videos that have been distributed, or have any information regarding
this case, to please call the Baytown Police Department at 281-422-8371 or you
contact Crime Stoppers at 281-427-TIPS or 281-222-TIPS.You can also submit
anonymous tips online at the Baytown Police Department website
http://www.baytown.org, or text keyword BAYTOWN plus your tip to 274637
(CRIMES). Crime Stoppers will pay up to $65,000.00 for information
leading to the arrest of the suspect in this case. You will remain anonymous.
