Police respond to shooting on Illinois Street
On March 10th at 7:08 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in
the 3100 block of Illinois Street. Upon arrival officers learned that
a 19 year old Baytown man had been shot one time in the head
while inside his residence.
During the course of the investigation Detectives discovered
narcotics and weapons inside the residence, which leads them to
believe the shooting may have been drug related.
The victim, who was conscious and breathing, was taken by
ambulance to a Houston hospital to be treated for his injuries;
however his condition is not known at this time. Detectives are
currently investigating and are seeking any information the public
may have to assist in identifying the suspect(s) in this case.
