Press Release from BPD/Lt. Steve Dorris —
On February 24th at 4:37 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Tri City Beach Road in reference to a deceased person found on the side of the road. Upon arrival officers found the body of a deceased female, covered in a blanket, laying on the side of the road. Homicide and Crime Scene Detectives responded to the scene, along with the Harris County Institute of Forensic Science Investigators, to begin conducting an investigation to determine the identity and the exact cause of death of the female, as well as how she came to be where she was found. This case, which is considered a Homicide, is still an active investigation and any new details will be released via a press release once the information becomes available and can be released.
