Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon

At 12:58 am Baytown Police were called to the residence at 3407 Cobblestone Lane in reference to a stabbing call. Officers arrived to discover that the 35 year old complainant and her 46 year old boyfriend had been stabbed by a former boyfriend of the complainant.
The boyfriend was identified by the complainant as Kendell Lee Lestrich, 33 of Avondale, Louisiana. Lestrich came to the complainant’s residence in the early morning hours of February 23, 2017 where he forced his way into the home and then assaulted her and her boyfriend with a knife. Both the complainant and her boyfriend were stabbed multiple times while attempting to fight off the attack by Lestrich.
Both the complainant and her boyfriend were flown to Memorial Herman Hospital to be treated for their injuries and are listed in stable condition.
Lestrich was later apprehended in the 1900 block of Interstate 10 attempting to flee the City on a bus back to Louisiana. Lestrich was charged with felony evading and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
