On February 19th at 1:41 a.m., officers were dispatched to a Hit and Run Auto Pedestrian accident at the intersection of North Gaillard and West Texas Avenue. Upon arrival officers discovered a 44 year old Baytown man lying in the roadway. Officers were able to determine, through the investigation, that the victim had been standing on the corner when, what was described as a white 2-door pickup truck, traveling west on Texas struck the curb where the victim was standing. The vehicle then struck the victim which caused the victim to go airborne before landing in the roadway. The vehicle failed to stop and instead continued west on Texas Avenue. The victim was transported to a Houston area Hospital for treatment of what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle involved is described as a white 2 door pick up with wide fenders, possibly a 1995-1997 year model, unknown make and model
