2017-2085 – On January 11th at 1:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Baytown Police Department
where a subject was wanting to turn herself in on an outstanding warrant.
Upon arrival officers contacted 22 year old Chelsea Caldera of Baytown,
who was found to have an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon out of Harris County.
Ms. Caldera was arrested and escorted to the Baytown Jail without incident and booked.
The warrant stemmed from an incident between her and her boyfriend back in May of 2016. Ms. Caldera and her boyfriend were involved in
a disturbance where Ms. Caldera produced a handgun and shot her boyfriend.
The boyfriend was able to get the gun away from Ms. Caldera, however she attempted to retrieve another weapon
which caused the boyfriend to fear for his safety and resulted in him shooting Ms. Caldera as well.
Both parties’ injuries were non-life threatening and charges were ultimately filed on Ms. Caldera in that case.
