5 arrested in multi-agency drug investigation
On October 12th, detectives with the Baytown Police Department Special Operations
Unit concluded a 19 month long, multijurisdictional investigation into the Joe Lugo Drug
Trafficking Organization.
Assisting in this investigation were officers from the Baytown Police Department Hot Spot Unit, the Harris County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Task Force, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Texas Anti-Gang Tactical Operations Center (TAG) and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Detectives and SWAT teams served five arrest warrants at different locations and served a search warrant on a “stash house”. Arrested were 33 year old Joe Lugo, 28 year old David Samora, 33 year old Pedro Sanchez, 32 year old Noe Valencia and 31 year old John Mixon, all of Baytown. Seized were nearly 3 kilograms of cocaine, quantities of methamphetamine, prescription pills, multiple firearms, cash and vehicles.
