2016-25979 On May 12th at 10:47 a.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of E. Baker for a reported drowning. Upon arrival, officers retrieved an unresponsive 1 ½ year old boy from his distraught mother and began CPR. The officers continued CPR until Baytown Fire paramedics arrived. The child was flown to a Houston area hospital where he is in critical condition. A preliminary investigation shows the child accessed an in-ground pool which is located in the back yard of his parent’s home and was underwater for an undetermined amount of time. The child’s mother retrieved him from the water and met responding officers in her driveway. Detectives are actively investigating this tragic incident.
