This story covers two separate accidents that occurred in Baytown , Texas, on Friday night, August 13, 2010.
In our first story, Baytown Police responded to the scene of a major accident on the feeder road of Spur 330 near Bayway Drive. After Baytown Fire and rescue worked to free the driver from the wreckage, the male driver was taken by Life Flight to Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas.
The second accident occurred on East James off North Main Street. The female driver of a pickup hit a utility pole. The driver said apparently her steering wheel was not locked in place when it suddenly shifted and caused her to veer off the road and hit the pole. She did not sustain any life-threatening injuries.
