Baytonians were taken by surprise with the heavy downpour of rain that caused flooding in Baytown early Saturday morning, June 13, 2015. One motorist became stranded in the water at the underpass is of Hwy.99 Another motorist tried to go through high water at Roseland Park; the driver and children had to be rescued.
In other news, Baytown police, Baytown EMS and Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of an auto-pedestrian accident on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Lifeflight was dispatched and later the call was cancelled. The victim was transported by emergency traffic to Bay Shore Medical Center in Pasadena, TX. At the posting of this report, Baytown police were searching for the driver of the automobile who fled the scene.
