Joseph Gibbs Charged With Capital Murder

On July 14, Baytown police detectives filed one count of Capital Murder on Joseph Gibbs 05-03-1986. Gibbs was positively identified by the 15 year-old victim that was inside the apartment with murder victim Ashley Broussard.
Gibbs was also identified by another victim that was shot minutes earlier in the 1000 block of Northwood.
Joseph Gibbs was arrested by Baytown police at 2:30pm today. He was walking east on Rollingbrook Drive when he was spotted by an alert officer. Gibbs was arrested without incident and transported to the Baytown Municipal Jail where he will be booked on the Louisiana murder warrant.
On July 10, at approximately 1045pm, Baytown police officers were dispatched to San Jacinto Hospital regarding a shooting victim that had arrived at the emergency room by private car. The 19 year old, male victim had been shot in the neck while in the 1000 blk of Northwood. The male was flown to Hermann Hospital where he is in critical condition as of Monday morning.
At approximately 11pm, a second call for a shooting was received by police at the Trestles apartments, 3400 Garth. 21 year old Ashley Broussard and a 15 year old female had been shot in the head while inside an apartment. The 15 year old victim was flown to Hermann Hospital where she is in stable condition. Broussard was flown to Hermann Hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.
On July 11, at approximately 1151 pm, Baytown police were notified of a shooting in the 1000 blk of Northwood. Responding officers found a 22 year old man had been shot in the head. He was flown to Hermann Hospital where he is in critical condition as of Monday morning.
