01.06.25 Three Stories: Shooting/Smash and Grab/Update on Shooting

Story 1: On Saturday night, January 4, Chambers County Sheriff” deputies were pursuing a vehicle with three suspects involved in a small and grab in Chambers County.  The pursuit culminated on w. Texas Avenue in Baytown.  The stolen items were meat products.  The vehicle that they were in was also reported stolen.  Three suspects were taken into custody.

Story 2: Aggravated Assault

This morning, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Baytown officers were dispatched to a reported shooting in the 1100 block of Bookertee Street in Baytown, Texas. Upon arrival, officers located a 23-year-old male victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh. The victim, a Baytown resident, was transported by Baytown Medic 2 to Clearlake Hospital for treatment. This case remains under active investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

Story 3: Concerning the homicide case of 25-year-old Joshua ONeal that occurred in Baytown on Sunday, December 29th, Baytown Police are seeking a person of interest .

He has been identified as 17-year-old Leondre Lynn, who is originally from Port Arthur, Texas, and has been living in Baytown for a couple of months. We urge anyone with information related to this incident to come forward. Any information regarding this case is crucial to providing closure to the victim’s loved ones.
