Officer Griffin (#134) observed a black 2002 Ford Expedition make numerous traffic violations at approximately 0156 hours. Officer Griffin activated his marked units emergency lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle on Hines Avenue, as it turned onto Houston Street. The Ford refused to stop and led oOfficers on a pursuit. At one point, the vehicle lost control at Forrest and Harvard and crashed, into a fence, gas meter, and AC unit. The vehicle continued to flee, but the vehicle died on Fayle from the damage. The driver, 17-year old Aroldo Garcia of Baytown excited the vehicle and ran on foot. When Officer caught him, he attempted to assault officers by kicked them and punching. He was tackled and taken into custody. Garcia told Officers he ran because he had a suspended drivers license. Marijuana was also found in the vehicle. He was arrested and charged with Felony evading arrest.
