On August 24, 2016 at 11:20 am, Baytown police officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the First Convenience Bank located at 3500 Garth Rd. The suspect approached the counter and handed a note to one of the bank tellers. The note demanded money and threatened harm if the teller did not comply. The suspect left with the currency and was last seen walking northbound from the store. The suspect is described as a black male, 35-50 years of age, approximately 5’8 to 5’11with a medium build and a thin mustache. The suspect was wearing a light brown sun hat, clear safety glasses and a blue, long sleeve T-shirt with white lettering on the front and advertising, in white lettering, on the back. The Baytown Police Department is committed to the safety of its citizens and will not tolerate crimes against members of our community.
