Baytown Police responded to a call at Discount Tire in the Food Town Parking lot off Decker Drive in Baytown, Texas, on Saturday, September 4, 2010. The call was regarding individuals stealing tires from the back of the store. When police first arrived, it took a few moments to determine if the used tires were being taken by permission of the store managers or if they were actually being stolen. Police searched the area for the two men who were reportedly stealing the tires and did not find them. They did find their female accomplice on location in a pickup loaded with 13 of the tires. The female was questioned concerning the two men. She attempted to mislead police as to their whereabouts; but to no avail, because suddenly the men appeared from their hiding place — the large container that held the tires. All three were arrested at the scene.

In other news, police responded to the scene of what was first reported to be the drowning of a child on Kelly Lane. When Police arrived, the child had been revived and was reported to be okay.
